    What is TeleTalkNow?

    TeleTalkNow is an online mental health treatment platform serving Minnesota and Florida. We provide individuals, couples, and families with meaningful, affordable, available, and secure professional online counseling. Sessions are offered via secure video, voice, and messaging service. TeleTalkNow provides online counseling to you through your smartphone, tablet, or computer no matter where you are. There are no gimmicks or subscriptions with just real online counseling and support.

    Who are TeleTalkNow Counselors?

    TeleTalkNow counselors are licensed, trained, and experienced clinical social workers (LCSW, LICSW), marriage and family therapists (LMFT), licensed professional counselors, or psychologist (PhD, PsyD).

    TeleTalkNow counselors must be fully licensed and in good standing with their professional board. To be a qualified TeleTalkNow provider your counselor has been qualified by their state board after completing the necessary education, exams, training, and practice hours. All counselors must also have completed at least 1000 hours of practice post licensure to be a credentialed as a TeleTalkNow provider.

    TeleTalkNow has a rigorous recruitment process that includes credentialing, references, criminal background checks, case study submission and a challenging video interview with the founders of TeleTalkNow. If a counselor makes it through this process, you can rest assured they are extremely talented online providers.

    Who will be my counselor?

    At TeleTalkNow we believe that you are the person best suited to choose your counselor. All our counselors are listed, and we try to have appointments and counselors available daily or within a few days. If you start with one counselor and the fit is not good for you, you may choose a different counselor.

    Is TeleTalkNow right for me?

    TeleTalkNow strives to create a real therapeutic alliance with our clients and we believe that face to face session via video are key to developing a strong online connection across all other communication platforms. If there is something interfering with your goals, happiness or dreams we maybe able to help you harness your innate strengths to solve those issues.

    TeleTalkNow counselors specialize in a variety issues including depression, sadness, anxiety, grief, body positivity, relationships, family conflicts, LGBTQA+ matters, social injustice, trauma, eating, addictions, parenting, anger management, religion, self-esteem, and many other challenges.

    TeleTalkNow crisis counseling is not for you if:

    • You have thoughts of hurting yourself or others
    • You have a plan to hurt yourself or others
    • You are in need emergency medical treatment
    • You are in an urgent or emergency crisis
    • You are experiencing an ongoing domestic crisis
    • You have a severe mental illness or have been advised to be in Inpatient or outpatient psychiatric care.
    • You are in court ordered counseling
    • You do not have a reliable internet connection
    What are TeletalkNow Supportive Text Sessions?

    After you have completed each session with your TeleTalkNow counselor we provide additional support in the form of secure messaging. Each session comes with three supportive text sessions to use for you to use to get support and encouragement

    How does an online messaging session work?

    You and your counselor will message each other in our client portal. You can message your counselor 24/7 days a week and they will message you back up to three times in each session during their normal availability hours. TeleTalkNow encourages clients write about the things that are troubling you, the success you are having the support you need to address your particular concerns.

    Does TeleTalkNow delete old messages?

    Your messages are never deleted they are part of your electronic health record through Simple Practice. You can read them and reread them when ever you need support.

    How do live phone sessions work?

    Each TeleTalkNow counselor has a HIPPA compliant online phone number that you will simply call at the starting time of your appointment. We do ask that the first appointment is in video so you and your counselor can build a solid therapeutic alliance. Your counselor needs to see your face at least once to protect both your security and ours.

    Will my insurance pay for therapy at TeleTalkNow?

    TeleTalkNow is an out-of-network provider of mental health services. We will provide a SuperBill to clients who would like to file a reimbursement claim directly to their insurance company. You must notify us in advance if you would like a SuperBill. SuperBill is generated monthly in the Simple Practice client portal for you to download and submit.

    You can pay your TeleTalkNow counseling session from your insurance based Health Savings Account - HSA/Flex Spending Debit/credit card. TeleTalkNow also accepts payment for counseling sessions from Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, JCB, and Diner’s Club

    Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis on the SuperBill and that becomes a part of your permanent medical record and maybe considered a pre-existing condition.

    Insurance companies may require a doctor visit and referral to a psychotherapist. Your insurance company may have a waiting list that is weeks or months long. Insurance can have huge deductibles and only pay for a limited number of sessions.

    How do I pay TeleTalkNow?

    TeleTalkNow accepts payment for counseling sessions from Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, JCB, and Diner’s Club

    What is your cancellation policy?

    Please remember to cancel or reschedule 48 hours in advance with your counselor. You will be responsible for the entire fee if cancellation is less than 48 hours.

    The standard meeting time for psychotherapy is 50 minutes. It is up to you, however, to determine the length of time of your sessions.

    How does TeleTalkNow protect my privacy?

    TeleTalkNow keeps your sensitive data safe across all platforms of communication with Simple Practice an Electronic Health Record and online telehealth portal that satisfies HIPAA and HITRUST security requirements. This is bank-level security that Simple Practice monitors 24/7 days a week.

    What Online Modalities does TeleTalkNow specialize in?
    Does TeletalkNow record or store counseling sessions?

    We do not record or store any video sessions. We ask that our clients not record the sessions as doing so violates the confidentiality of the session. If you choose to record a session, we cannot guarantee the confidentiality of the session.
